There is nothing funny about UFOs. I personally see nothing humorous about it. At its most benign it’s a curious, unexplained phenomenon that our government has been lying to us about. At its worst it is a damaging, terrorizing violation.
Which was the funny part? Was it the bizarre, creepy sighting that left you feeling afraid and confused? Is it funny when the government lies to us? Is there any kind of “ha ha” moment about someone believing they were abducted and terrorized by unsanctioned medical experiments? Whether their belief is founded in reality or the product of a mental illness, either way, it isn’t funny.
If you have ever listened to someone’s UFO account and laughed at them, you have been influenced by Project Blue Book’s ridicule campaign enacted by the government for about seven decades.
Two months after the famous Roswell incident, President Truman created a top secret committee of military and scientific specialists, called the Majestic 12, also called MJ-12 or Majic-12.
We know that on December 11, 1952, these experts created Project Blue Book, ostensibly to further study UFO phenomena, but really designed to explain the incidents away. This committee was mandated with not only studying UFO activity but also setting policy on how to treat the phenomenon in the public and the media.
To actually enact their new UFO policies, these experts created a restricted UFO response operations manual, SOM1-01, entitled “Extraterrestrial Entities and Technology Recovery and Disposal,” labeled as “top secret/MAJIC EYES ONLY.” It outlined the committee’s official secrecy policy adopted in April of 1954. This controversial document was anonymously leaked to a UFO researcher.
We know that UFO activities were later referred to as Operation Majestic Twelve and this information was limited to the office of the president, the MJ-12 committee and the director of Central Intelligence.
For the duration of Project Blue Book’s existence and beyond whenever the government responded to a mass UFO sighting they would arrive at the site, grill witnesses behind the scene, keeping all pertinent information for themselves, then launch a campaign of derision and ridicule designed to humiliate witnesses into silence.
If ridicule didn’t successfully suppress the incident they would threaten the lives of the witnesses and their families.
If ridicule and threats failed they would use retaliatory methods such as forcing witnesses out of their jobs and ruining their reputations and careers.
Though not actually sanctioned in their UFO management manual, we believe that in extreme cases, they resorted to murders that would be explained away as suicides.
So tell me, what’s so damn funny?
We believe the government has now, FINALLY, made a big change in their UFO management policy. We call it the “gosh gee we admit these things are real but we have no idea what they are” policy.
This new policy was enacted, in part, because everyone now has a video camera in their pocket and video evidence has been widely disseminated. But most likely because of the three compelling UFO military encounter videos released by retired Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) commander Luis Elizondo in 2017. AATIP was the most recent iteration of Project Blue Book. Though Project Blue Book supposedly closed in 1969, we have found that these government UFO investigation projects never really disappear, They just morph into some other project under some other name.
Elizondo released three classified videos of military UFO encounters to the New York Times, and then later started his own UFO investigating television show called Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation. The now famous videos are called, “Tic Tac,” “go fast” and “gimbal.”
The Times article by Helene Cooper, Ralph Blumenthal and Leslie Kean was titled “Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program.”
All three of the Elizondo videos can easily be viewed in several locations online. If you haven’t seen them, I highly recommend watching them. They were taken during US military exercises off our coasts and were recorded with state-of-the-art equipment.
Prior to this article the Pentagon had never released any of this type of information from this agency. I think all of us UFO researchers expected the government to refute the evidence and give us their usual lies, but this time they surprised us, they instead released a statement confirming the videos as “real.” This is what they released…
“The Department of Defense is releasing the videos in order to clear up any misconception by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos. The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as ‘unidentified.’”
Another pair of leaked videos of a 2019 incident off the California coast, that the government later confirmed as real, showed pyramidal-shaped UFOs flying over the USS Russell and an infrared video taken by the USS Omaha showing a “Tic Tac” trans-medium UFO splashing into the water. The videos were posted by documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell.
Furthering their new policy, on June 25, 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a report, “Preliminary Assessment: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.” Though the report never claims the UFOs are under extraterrestrial control, it does confirm that UFO, or UAP, activity is not coming from Russia or China or any other Earth government. The report examined 144 incidents and only found one to be a large, deflating balloon. All the other cases remained “unexplained.” Most of the events involved first-hand witness reports by military aviators, and systems they deemed reliable.
The report says the phenomenon requires further study and we may have to increase our scientific knowledge to be able to understand what is going on.
Though the new government policy is an improvement over the stonewalling lies of the past, it is still infuriating. It proves they’ve been lying to us all along and fully justifies our long years of mistrust.
Also they are still lying to us, but now they are pretending to be just as dumbfounded as we are. Since the government is known to be hiding actual crashed UFOs, actual dead alien bodies (and maybe some live ones), we believe this strategy is another disingenuous, bald-faced lie, but one that lets the government PRETEND to be a cooperating participant in the search for the truth.
